Team Lakeland 6th overall in Meadow Lake!!!

 

Team Lakeland is back from the Saskatchewan Winter Games in Meadow Lake with incredible memories and an impressive 28 medals: 9 gold, 12 silver, and 7 bronze! 🥇🥈🥉

More than 150 athletes, coaches, and managers proudly represented Lakeland throughout the week, delivering outstanding performances and unforgettable moments of teamwork and sportsmanship.

 

The Games, hosted by the communities of Meadow Lake and Flying Dust First Nation, created an amazing atmosphere for competition and celebration.

 

From podium finishes to lifelong memories, Team Lakeland showed what dedication, community spirit, and hard work can achieve. 💚💛

Weyburn Selected to Host the 2028 Saskatchewan Summer Games

Weyburn last hosted the biennial multi-sport event in 2004

​

The Saskatchewan Summer Games are coming to Weyburn in 2028! This exciting weeklong event will bring together over 1,800 athletes and 5,000 spectators from across the province, supported by more than 1,000 volunteers.

The Games will feature 13 sports, including athletics, soccer, swimming, volleyball, and the return of rowing to the program. Beyond the competition, the event is expected to generate up to $7 million in economic impact while leaving a lasting legacy through facility upgrades, equipment investment, and community development supported by provincial hosting and legacy grants.
