Volunteer Development

Lakeland District challenges the trend of volunteer burnout and stresses around a lack of volunteers by offering:

  • Volunteer Recruitment and Retention workshops

  • Principles of volunteer engagement 

  • New approaches to volunteer recruitment 

  • The Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement  

Women & Leadership

Community Consultants have been trained as facilitators by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women & Sport & Physical Activity to deliver the following 3 hour workshops:

  • Leading with Confidence

Play Leadership

This 7.5 hour workshop focuses on the benefits of play for children and youth, communities and society as a whole.
