Upcoming provincial tour Bits & Pieces of Dis’ & Dat’

Listen to Dis’ Community Arts Organization [LTD’] and Saskatchewan Districts for Sport, Culture, and Recreation have come together to present Bits & Pieces of Dis’ & Dat’ throughout the province. This dazzling montage of music and monologue will be performed by LTD’ professional music ensemble The Dripping Honeys through four Saskatchewan districts across the province. It will make you laugh, cry, and think about what it is like to be disabled in today’s world. It will be presented in Melfort, Saskatchewan on May 1st, showing at 2pm and 7pm.

For over ten years, Listen to Dis’ has been shifting the way people perceive disability in Saskatchewan and building a new understanding of disability culture. Now, in collaboration with Lakeland District for Sport, Culture & Recreation we aim to bring the community together, through music, monologues, and more! Bits & Pieces of Dis’ & Dat’ will be performed at the Kerry Vickar Centre in Melfort, SK on May 1st with guest artists. It is an experience you won’t want to miss and a perfect way to share time with family, friends, and community.

Bits & Pieces of Dis’ & Dat’ was first performed in 2022 by SaskCulture to cultural leaders from across the province. This marked the beginning of this collaboration. The ensemble features Ammanda Zelinski on vocals, Jason Yuen on piano, Emil Schmuck on harmonica, Finn Burke on bass, Ed Peck on drums, and Shaylee Rosnes monolinguist. The ensemble’s passion, and unique arrangements, style, and sound have won the hearts of thousands across the province.
