Our Mandate

The District will be a leader in facilitating Community Development through sport, culture and recreation for and with the communities within our jurisdiction.

What We Do

Through our District network, we use the community development approach in working with communities and groups to assist in meeting their needs. We provide leadership for sport, culture and recreation on behalf of our communities and groups in advocacy, partnerships, planning, policy and training. We are a non-profit organization working with our members towards building healthy communities through sport, culture and recreation.

Board of Directors

At the 2010 Annual General Meeting of the Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation, the following individuals were elected to the Board of Directors. We still have 4 positions open – one in the East Region, one in the Western Region and two at large.
